Meet Belinda Anderson.
She’s the CEO of Henty Machinery Field Days, an annual agricultural event in southern NSW. Her history with agriculture goes back to 1988, when she started working for the Wagga Wagga Pastures Protection Board. She joined Henty Field Days in 2011 as secretary of the owning cooperative, then quickly transitioned to CEO in 2013.
In 1960, the Field Days were created to teach farmers about newly developed farm machinery. The event increased in popularity and scope, and now attracts fifty to sixty thousand people a year, generating $90 million annually. Their not-for-profit cooperative owns the 105-hectare purpose-built site, and manages the yearly event.
Veridia has supplied Henty Field Days with washroom and catering supplies for as long as Belinda can remember. She says their proximity to the Field Days site is matched only by their proven reputation for quick responses.
“It’s so great to be able to pick up the phone [and get] the people you need immediately. The service is fantastic…always obliging and really helpful with what we need.”
One of Belinda’s recent headaches was figuring out the NSW plastic ban rules. She turned to Veridia and they handled the transition to eco-friendly catering supplies expertly.
“You look to your companies to be able to provide you with exactly what you need. [That’s] just the reliability and the service that we receive.”
