Veridia is compassionately supporting the bushfire and drought crisis through a $50,000 donation to Rapid Relief Team – a nation-wide operation, operated by volunteers from the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, delivering on the ground support to communities in need.
We know that this money will be well spent, flowing directly through to current initiatives including:
- On the ground Meal Services to fire crews on the front line
- Rapid Water Transporting Systems operated by RRT, which help deliver water resources from hard to reach sources
- Family Support Packages, including $1000 food vouchers that RRT is giving to families who have lost their home in the fires or are doing it tough in the drought.
- Supporting Farmer Community Connect Events where livestock nutrition and fodder is distributed to farmers in need.
We’re also extending our terms of credit to clients who have been directly affected by the fires, some of which are heavily dependent on the tourism industry which has been hit so hard by these disasters.
Last month, Veridia was privileged to be able to have two team members, Athol & David, attend the RRT’s Farmer Community Connect Event in Warren, to see the devastation first-hand and how RRT is playing such an important role in supporting rural communities.
