Meet Lewis Butterworth.
He’s the general manager of Gundagai District Services Club, in charge of all the moving parts of the organisation – bowls, golf, restaurant and more. What he likes most about working in the club is that it brings so many communities together and puts them under one roof.
Gundagai Services Club started in the 1960’s as a small RSL venue. Over the years, more and more people and communities joined together under the Services Club banner. Today, many organisations in and around Gundagai choose the Services Club for their functions. With the golf course and bowling greens bringing sporting communities in, Lewis always has something different to do every day.
Lewis first met Veridia as a supplier when he came to the club in 2023. He says “Over the [time] I’ve been here, I’ve realized how much we actually use them for, and how helpful they are.”
Lewis recalls how difficult it was to get consistent deliveries, products and pricing when he had to deal with multiple suppliers. In this situation, it’s simply a phone call to Veridia about a week before, and within two or three days they were able to source all the glassware for us. The event went off without a hitch.”
