Meet Rose Misevic.
She’s the proprietor at the Dog on the Tuckerbox Café and Gift Shop near Gundagai, which she runs with her sister Mel.
Their café, located next to the Dog on the Tuckerbox, provides coffee and snacks for visitors to the iconic Australian landmark. “The Dog on the Tuckerbox has been here for 90 years now. She’s celebrated her 90 birthday in October last year, and we’ve got a little café running where people can come and get their coffee for their trip.”
Rose also emphasises local products in their gift shop, so they can really promote the region to the many tourists who come through.
Now that tourists are returning to the Dog after the pandemic, Rose says her concerns are about our economy and finances. “There’s been price increases, mortgage rate rises and interest rates… what’s actually happening is, people are reluctant to spend more.”
Rose learned about Veridia when her representative joined from another business, and she found Veridia’s service and offering to be better than her previous supplier.
She says, “We had a look at all the products and what it is that Veridia has to offer. And we found that it was actually a lot cheaper, which is really important in this day and age. And we also found that the supply came immediately… and on time and when we need it.”
Rose now appreciates that she was able to swap to Veridia –
“We’ve established an amazing professional relationship and we trust him 100%… we just know that the relationship’s easy – sometimes I forget an order so I will ring last minute. It’s never a problem. There’s never been a problem.”
